Tems, a well-known singer from Nigeria, is expected to receive another RIAA certification for her song “Higher.”

This information was provided by the credible chart news website Chart Data, which verified that the song has sold over 500,000 copies in the US, automatically qualifying it for a plaque.

A track from her 2020 EP “For Broken Ears,” “Higher,” will give the 27-year-old Nigerian singer her second solo RIAA certification, following the gold certification of “Free Mind” in 2022.

Since her ascent to prominence in 2020, Tems has capitalized on and maintained her international reputation. The outcomes of her collaboration with Wizkid on “Essence” further solidified this.

With platinum certifications for singles like “Essence” and “Wait For U,” as well as solo gold certifications for “Free Mind” and “Higher,” Tems continues to be among the most RIAA-certified artists in Nigeria.
